Expecting Fewer Rate Hikes This Year

We have lowered our expectation for the Czech Republic's national bank to hike rates, now forecasting one 25bps hike to 1.00%, from two 25bps hikes previously. The weak consumer demand story, coupled with heavy downside risks to economic growth posed by the eurozone debt crisis underpin this view.
