THB: Staying Range Bound For Now

The Thai baht's recent attempt to surpass its previous peak of THB29.50/US$ was interrupted by a sharp selloff across global risk assets. Following an impressive run in July where the Thai baht appreciated by 3.1% against the US dollar to THB29.76/US$, the currency has since retreated back to THB29.88/US$ at the time of writing.
