Equities: Short-Term Bounce In Play

In our view, Mexico's IPC equity index could start looking attractive in the short term, as deeply negative global investor sentiment begins to unwind, the US economy continues in stall-speed, and eurozone leaders seem set to confront the sovereign debt crisis. In line with our Global team's bullish equities view (see our online service, September 27, 'Asset Class Strategy Update'), we believe a short-term bounce could be in play; however, we would need to see a stronger technical signal before calling for a near-term rally.
