Sterling Will Lose Ground Against the Dollar

The British pound has trended lower since Q211 and is currently testing support at US$1.5300/GBP. Much of the recent sterling weakness has materialised on the back of a stronger dollar and a number of disappointing data releases for the UK included the recent drop in industrial production and a wider than expected trade deficit.
