As the political crisis in Ukraine seems to be heading towards a peaceful resolution, the fundamentally robust economy also appears to be finding its feet again. The Supreme Court's decision to call for a repeat of the second round of the presidential elections, along with the agreement on electoral reform reached between parliament and outgoing President Leonid Kuchma, helped resolve political deadlock and establish a way forward.
