Interest Rates Likely To Peak At 12.50%

Following the ongoing increases in inflation, we believe that the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) will raise the benchmark repo interest rate to 12.50% at the August MPC meeting, due to ongoing concerns about rising inflationary expectations.
