Face-Off With Musharraf In The Offing?

This week could prove cathartic for the four-month old coalition government, as it tries to thrash out a plan over how to deal with outstanding - and for its survival arguably pivotal - issues. Asif Ali Zardari, the head of the ruling Pakistan People's Party (PPP), yesterday met with his coalition partner Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad in another (and likely final) attempt to settle their differences over how to deal with President Pervez Musharraf and the judges he sacked during the six-weeks of emergency rule last year.
