TAIEX: An Ominous Break Of 6,000
September 2008 | Market StrategyAlong with regional bourses, the Taiwanese stock market has been pounded heavily on the heels of the collapse of US investment bank Lehman Brothers , with the benchmark TAIEX extending Monday's 4.4% decline with a 4.8% plunge today. The index has now taken out the key 6000 mark, for a near three-year low, and looks like it could be in for further near-term downside.
