New Bond Issue A Key Barometer
October 2009 | Market StrategyThe ball is rolling as far as the Dominican Republic's plan to return to the international capital markets is concerned, with the authorities clearly keen to seize on the return in global risk appetite and the confidence brought by an agreed US$1.7bn loan facility from the IMF. According to the Public Credit Office the pending offering, which still needs congressional approval, may be as much as US$600mn.
