VNI: Downside Risks Mounting

We are now moving towards a more cautious view on Vietnamese stocks on the back of our expectations that fiscal and monetary policy will need to be tightened significantly in 2010 in order to rein in a widening trade deficit and renewed inflationary pressures. We would thus view a break of short-term support at 520 as a strong indication of further downside.
