Equities: Looking Weak Across The Board
January 2010 | Market StrategyDespite having started the year strongly, the recent weakness in global stock markets is being keenly felt across Latin America, with several of the region's key bourses either having already broken through, or looking set to test, long-term support levels. Indeed, with the onset of Chinese monetary tightening suggesting that demand for the region's vital commodities could be set to wane, and with risk aversion picking up, we caution that investors are facing a tough near-term picture.
