Challenges To Reform Agenda

Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali's recent cabinet reshuffle is hoped to reinvigorate the economic reform effort and boost economic growth, but we nevertheless believe that the government will fall short of the ambitious goals outlined in the 11th Development Plan (2007 - 2011). The government faces a series of difficult policy trade-offs that are likely to slowdown the drive to liberalise the economy.
