Central Bank To Rein In Liquidity To Dampen Inflation

We expect Bangladesh Bank to gradually tighten monetary conditions in the second half of FY2009/10 (July-June) as the strong inflow of remittances and the central bank's liquidity-boosting policies are now adding upward pressures on assets and consumer prices. We now expect inflation to average 7.7% in FY09/10 from 7.1% previously.
