Commodities: The Cocoa Disconnect & Bullish Coffee Break

There has been a clear disconnect in price action between the London-traded LIFFE cocoa contract and that traded on the NYBOT-ICE exchange in the US. As the chart below illustrates, cocoa prices in the US (LHS) have fallen more dramatically than those in London, but this is largely the result of exchange rate movements as opposed to particular supply and demand
