It has been a busy year for south-east European ratings, with agency coverage being initiated on Macedonia, Serbia and Bosnia. Over the long-term, the potential for upward revisions exists. First, the EU's commitment to the region is likely to grow. Already a large donor and involved in security operations, a European Union of 28 members will have a large external frontier will these countries.
