Malaysia's KLSE equity index has surged to seven-month high of 904.48, having already breached our year-end target of 900, which we identified back in July (see 13 July 2004, KLSE: Long-Term Outlook Bright). We see the possibility of further gains ahead, given that Malaysia is enjoying robust economic fundamentals, and is benefiting from increased political openness.
