How Much Further For CEE FX Gains?

The recent bout of CE-4 currency firming has paused today, but there are reasons for regional sentiment to remain high and potential for some further strengthening. The Czech koruna is currently trading down slightly at CZK29.47/EUR, after hitting a five-month high yesterday of CZK29.37/EUR. On the same day, the Hungarian forint also touched its highest level since March of HUF243.50/EUR. The unit has since eased to its present level of HUF244.00/EUR, but is still looking strong. The Slovak koruna is also performing well at its current level of SKK38.55/EUR, compared to SKK39.00/EUR at the start of the month. The
