Our core view of the US economy is for a soft landing, with real GDP growth expanding by 3.0% y-o-y in 2007, down from a projected 3.5% in 2006. The ongoing weakness in the housing market is a key risk to this outlook, and we may well have to marginally downgrade our growth forecast for next year.
