With Mexico having joined the monetary tightening club (albeit unexpectedly) on April 27, with a 25bps increase in the benchmark rate to 7.25%, and Colombia hiking rates by 25bps yesterday to 8.50% (expectedly), we thought it appropriate to assess the Latin monetary policy situation.
