Asian equities and currencies look set to experience further losses in the near term, as fears over the US subprime mortgage sector persist. Admittedly, there is also the fact that after such steep share price gains in 2007, a correction was probably due. Nonetheless, the fundamentals of Asia's economies look solid, and this should support stocks and currencies over the medium
