The US dollar may soon test the all-time low of US$1.6018/EUR versus the euro, propelled by a weak domestic economic outlook and diverging interest rate expectations with the eurozone. By the end of 2008, however, we believe that recovering US economic growth will become the main factor in driving the exchange rate, explaining why we envisage a comeback for the greenback.
