Asia seems set to feel the pain of high inflation, a weaker external environment, and political uncertainty for some months to come, even if commodity prices head lower. As such, every country has actually seen downward moves in our sovereign risk ratings scores since our last update in April. However, with a few exceptions - namely Vietnam, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka - we do not see a high risk of a systemic crisis over external debt.
