BMI View: In view of the sharp falls in Asian currencies lately, we have been forced to re-assess our end-2008 and even end-2009 forecasts. We see further declines in the short term. Even if currencies stabilise soon, and start recovering, they may take a considerable period of time to recoup the latest losses.
