Barring a significant resurgence in international risk aversion and a renewed drop in oil prices, we believe Ghana and Gabon's US$2017 global bonds are likely to see further yield declines over the coming months. Thanks to stronger macroeconomic fundamentals, we maintain our view that over the longer term, Ghana's external bond is likely to outperform its Gabonese counterpart.
